 Computer Lab, Email, Online Forum and Online Chat

The school has a computer lab which can be used by any member of Lowell Girl's school community. Join a discussion on the school's forum.

Computer Lab Policy

1. Computers/Desks/Chairs cannot be moved around in the lab. Disconnecting cables is prohibited except for the computer lab manager.
2. Tampering with the settings on the computers is not permitted. This includes desktop settings, and files on the hard drive, DO NOT ATTEMPT TO INSTALL ANY SOFTWARE.
3. There is no eating or drinking in the lab.
4. No shouting or loud talking. Talking is fine. However, if you are disruptive, you will be asked to leave.
5. Do not post signs in the lab or on the lab doors without first seeking the permission of the lab manager.
6. Rude behavior of any kind (swearing, fighting, spitting, etc..) will result in immediate ejection from the lab.

School Email

Each student and staff member will be given an email account. Students have to apply for the account by filling in a form.

Students can get the form "Applying for a Lowell Girls School Email Account" from the secretary who will verify that you are a student. It will take at least 2 days to get the account activated. Change your password immediately you login the first time.

Note: Emails are monitored to ensure rule adherence. Emails can be terminated if you do not adhere to the following rules:

1. School Emails/electronic messaging systems may not be used to distribute illegal, defamatory, fraudulent or harassing messages, or otherwise to engage in any illegal or wrongful conduct.
2. School Email may not be used to download software to school computers.

Online Forum

Read, post, follow up on current topics, academics, student life, discussions, sports, personal announcements and any other issues.

After entering the forum, read on a current topic, post a reply/follow up or post new topics.

Postings will be automatically removed after 7 days.

Online Chat

Read live chats

Participate or join the chat by specifying a nickname in the name box. Type your messages in the the message box and pressing enter.
